Pominville 2 Goals and Miller’s 25th Career Shutout Leads Sabres to 6-0 Beatdown of Bruins

Ryan Miller and The Sabres got a measure of Revenge over the rival Bruins with a 6-0 beatdown. Christan Ehrhoff got the scoring started 6:23 into the First Period when his wrist shot caught Bruin goalteder Rask by surprise. Jason Pominville would score his first of 2 on the night with 5:10 left in the first when he would convert on a beautiful behind the back pass by Ville Leino. Tyler Ennis would then chase Rask out of the net scoring 1:21 into the 2nd Period when his back end rang off the post and then hit Rask and went into the net. Rask who got the loss made only 7 saves on the night.

Patrick Kaleta who played one of his best games of the season put the Sabres up by 4 when Kaleta would catch the reigning Vezina Trophy winner Tim Thomas by surprise. Jason Pominville 2nd of the night came 1:18 into the 3rd Period when he converted on another Ville Leino backhand pass. Drew Stafford would cap off the scoring when Tyler Ennis pulled Thomas out of the net and found Drew Stafford all alone. Ryan Miller got his 14th victory of the season and 3rd Shutout of the season making 34 saves on the night.

Sabres return to action on Friday Night when James Neal and Dallas Stars visit the First Niagara Center. Game Time is 7:30 and can be seen on MSG HD.
