The NHL Schedule isn’t official yet, but Ted Black allude to January 20th will be the first home game of the season yesterday. Today Andrew Peters tweeted that the Sabres will likely be opening the season a week from Sunday versus the Philadelphia Flyers. The Sabres will be the only Eastern Conference team idle on January 19th. The Sabres will then head to Toronto to take on the Leafs on Monday Night ending the first week of the season with a home and home against the Hurricanes on January 24th and 25th. The Complete Schedule will be out once the NHLPA ratifies the new CBA over the weekend.
